Baby Christian is two months old!

At two months old, Christian:
Weighs: about 13 lbs (was 13.5 lbs at checkup at 11 weeks)
Measures: 23.5 inches
Loves:
- Being held/close to mama
- Napping on mama’s chest
- The baby carrier—I think he would sleep all day if I didn’t take him out of there;) He purrs/snores often while snoozing in it.
- Brother and sissy
- Smiling
- When you talk and sing to him
- Classical piano music—I’ve been playing it for him since before he was born and it helps calm him if he’s fussy
- Tooting
- Playing on his playmat
Dislikes:
- The stop and go of the carpool line—we wait to get there when the line is almost done so we don’t have to wait too long
The bath when you first put him in but then he gets used to it (he’s only had a few baths) - Being hungry
- Doesn’t love being in his car seat unless the car is in motion
- Doesn’t like being put down for too long—usually only tolerates being in one of his baby seats for 10-15 min max
- Not really a fan of the pacifier
Sleep: Still sleeps a lot of the day but has longer wakeful periods of 1-2 hours. He does not have a nap schedule but tends to nap in the baby carrier after we get up and ready for the day while mama has her coffee, then he nurses and “exercises” on his playmat while mama does some exercises on her mat next to him:) He naps while mom eats lunch, and then nurses once we get around that 2 hour mark. Then we play again for a bit before going on a walk where he naps again in the baby carrier. I usually try to keep him awake before getting the big kids from school so he’s not too fussy in the car. He usually naps while I make/eat dinner and then is awake for a good 2 hour stretches before bedtime usually.
Nursing: Nurses every 2 hours on average during the day and usually goes 3-5 hour stretches at night (even a few 6 hour stretches!)
Activity/What’s New:
- Lifts head for long periods
- “Talks” especially when you talk to him he tries to mimic the hellos, hi’s, and I love you’s
- Has discovered his tongue and likes to stick it out and “chew”
- Bats at the hanging toys on his playmat
- He is so smiley! Smiles especially when you talk to him
- Is constantly moving his arms around and batting at things
- Has really “woken up” and is much more alert and interactive
- Never completely lost his birth hair and new hair is growing in where he did lose it
- Has been trying to find his thumbie to suck on
- Has started to gum/suck on things within reach, but still not too fond of the pacifier (although we don’t really give it to him regularly so that could be why)

2-month photo shoot outtakes:

They didn’t have you where I come from
Never knew the best was yet to come
Life began when I saw your face
And I hear your laugh like a serenade
How long do you wanna be loved?
Is forever enough, is forever enough
How long do you wanna to be loved?
Is forever enough
‘Cause I’m never, never giving you up
I slip in bed when you’re asleep
To hold you close and feel your breath on me
Tomorrow there’ll be so much to do
So tonight I’ll drift in a dream with you
How long do you wanna be loved?
Is forever enough, is forever enough
How long do you wanna be loved?
Is forever enough
‘Cause I’m never, never giving you up
As you wander through this troubled world
In search of all things beautiful
You can close your eyes when you’re miles away
And hear my voice like a serenade
How long do you wanna be loved?
Is forever enough, is forever enough
How long do you wanna be loved?
Is forever enough
‘Cause I’m never, never giving you up
How long do you wanna be love?
Is forever enough, is forever enough
How long do you wanna be loved?
Is forever enough
‘Cause I’m never, never giving you up
Is forever enough
‘Cause I’m never, never giving you up
