Arizona Spring Break 2024

First stop: Scottsdale AZ (the view from our room at the Montelucia)

We always go to True Food Kitchen our first night in Scottsdale (August was sad that his pizza was taking too long according to him;)

And there just happens to be a gelato place right next door:)

The next morning we had breakfast at Prep & Pastry which had the best ever French toast according to the kids.

And of course when on vacation, ice cream after dinner

Breakfast at the Montelucia (not as good as it used to be when they had a buffet)

Horseback riding through the desert before heading to Sedona!

And lunch at Flower Child—another Scottsdale favorite

Swimming back at the rental house which is one of the best airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in.

It was cool to participate in some traditional Catholic traditions even though we’re not Catholic

And next up hiking at a nearby state park (the photo location says Rimrock).

August had a cold on this day so we didn’t go as far as we wanted, but the part that we did see was breathtakingly beautiful. He was pretty much better the following day so I think the fresh, non-polluted air definitely helped.

Scarlett made this rock sculpture which if I remember correctly was supposed to be baby Jesus.

Our last night in Sedona we drove about 40 minutes to Blazin’ M Ranch, which was a dinner show that had good reviews on Google.

August wasn’t really having it, especially since most of the activities they had available that he actually wanted to do were for older kids or had a long wait.

He got to ring the dinner bell and that cheered him up a bit😆

We’ve been to AZ quite a few times now but first time visiting Sedona and we loved it! Can’t wait to go back—maybe in a couple years. What a fun Spring Break with the kiddos!
