The 2022 Christmas season was as magical and special as ever with the babies! We enjoyed finding new traditions, like visiting a Christmas tree farm, and had so much fun revisiting old traditions like walking through the lights at Garden Glow and baking Christmas cookies. It’s been almost 3 months since Christmas but these memories will last a lifetime:)
This year we got our tree the day after Thanksgiving—the earliest we’ve ever put up our tree. We were so excited to try the cut-your-own experience at Heritage Valley Christmas Tree Farm, and it did not disappoint! We look forward to making this a family tradition for years to come.
Scarlett wanted to put up their little bedroom trees early this year too:) Stringing the lights is definitely Dad’s job—Mom tried and failed😆 Writing letters to Santa It took a couple days to get around to decorating the tree—the kids (well Scarlett mostly) did most of the decorating this year Video proof showed that it was indeed Scarlett’s turn to put the star up this year;) Take 2! Bernard the Elf came the following morning! We did Garden Glow early this year on December 1st. It was a great night to go, not too crowded at all. Union Loafers pizza on the way home:) Scarlett’s Christmas piano recital—she did so good! Hot chocolate during an after soccer lunch outing at the Clover and the Bee Visiting with Santa St. John’s Christmas program Special dinner at the Melting Pot followed by driving through the school’s light display:) We found the reindeer! Last year was the first year we missed seeing them, so we were happy to find them at the museum of transportation this year. Helping with Scarlett’s Christmas party on the last day before winter break:) I peeked in at August’s party while I was there:) Scarlett helped make the cookies for her party;) Celebrating the beginning of winter break with a ride on the Polar Express! After the train ride we met grandma and poppy at Maggianos for a delicious Italian dinner. Making our annual gingerbread house. Another barn this year:) Our power went out on the coldest day of the year, so a cozy fire was necessary. Playing in the snow in the freezing cold—I think the temp was like 18-20 degrees or something brutal. They still stayed out for an hour though, the crazy houligans😆 2nd fire of the day🥶 Went to see a movie (another winter break tradition—but also to warm up!) Puss in Boots Christmas cookie time! This year we just made our favorite—peanut butter blossoms. Preparing the cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning. Enjoying the refreshments before the Christmas Eve service:) Grandma, poppy, & aunt Lindsey came over afterwards for homemade pizza. ‘‘Twas the Night Before Christmas Looking for Santa’s sleigh❤️ Getting Santa’s cookies ready! Don’t forget the milk! Santa came!! Even dog got something from Santa The boy loves shoes😆 Cinnamon rolls! First time making and they turned out SO good. Christmas lunch at grandma & poppy’s Got to meet sweet Baby Adam! Only 5 days old😍 Opening gifts from FL grandma & poppy So many new things to do and play! NYE dinner at Pastaria Happy 2023!!
