We had a blast on our trip to West Palm Beach last month! Here are some of the memories from our trip.
The airplane ride is half the adventure! The kids always look forward to it:) They also love the novelty of staying at a new house for the week:) The weather in West Palm was a bit cloudy so we drove about 40 minutes to the sunnier Del Ray Beach—it was worth the drive! A bit of a break before heading back out to dinner. True Food Kitchen—one of our favorites. Somehow August was fooled by this dairy-free ice cream but Scarlett was not (she did however eat most of it before deciding it wasn’t that good )
The next day we also made a drive for a sunnier beach, this time to Deerfield Beach which was a hidden gem. Later that evening we went to dinner at a place called Farmers Table which was nothing to write home about. Since dinner wasn’t the best, we stopped for some gelato on the way home:) Scarlett found “Piggy” in the closet of the rental house, and yes he made it home with us Day 3 took us back to Deerfield Beach. Their best sandcastle yet! PBJ break Winding down from the beach with a movie + snack plate:) Avocado Grill for dinner—they had the BEST guacamole The next morning was a little rainy so we went to a cute little Swedish restaurant for breakfast. This was pastry #2 Afterwards we went to a drive-through safari! After the safari we stopped by the aquarium/science center but the aquarium portion was closed so we didn’t stay long. Batch New Southern Kitchen for dinner—we ordered a bunch of stuff so everyone would have something they liked and it was all pretty good. Bear hiding because he wasn’t ready to leave the beach. On our last day we visited the West Palm Zoo. And then lunch at the Rainforest Cafe before heading to the airport!
This trip was perfect timing after a huge snow in St. Louis—we had such a great time and enjoyed every minute of sunshine!
