Halloween 2019

October 31, 2019

The Halloween fun started early this year with a Halloween party, a field trip to the pumpkin patch, and a costume party at dance!

The babes had fun testing out their costumes for our friend Maggie’s Halloween party a few weeks ago!

And the main event: Halloween!

We spent the day shopping for decorations for our Halloween dinner party, picking out our pumpkins (last minute—this has become a tradition I guess:), eating a spooky lunch, and of course carving the pumpkin!

Spider PBJ and witches brooms.

They helped clean out the pumpkin for mama to carve (Scarlett did most of the work—August preferred to dance around with the carving utensils:)—and next year Scarlett should be able to help with the carving part too!

Before trick-or-treating we had a little Halloween dinner party, but the kids were too excited to actually eat much😆 Grandma and Poppy stopped by to see the kiddos in their costumes before heading to Uncle Max’s.

Time for trick-or-treating! We drove to a nearby neighborhood, Villages of Cherry Hills, on the suggestion of a neighbor.

One lady said to Scarlett “You better take one or two more” and August said as he reached in the candy bucket “I better take a couple one or two more, too”. Sampling their stash:) They were allowed to pick one thing and both went through a couple that they didn’t care for (Reese’s, Twix, peanut m&ms, and snickers) before they found something they liked: Scarlett chose whoppers and August chose gummy bears.
