Christmas 2018

December 25, 2018

Christmas is pure magic with these babies!

They both helped Mama make Christmas cookies on Christmas Eve-Eve. We made peanut blossoms, orange ricotta cookies, snowballs, and Dada’s mega double chocolate mint cookies.

The kiddos especially helped with the peanut blossoms! They helped roll the balls in sugar and put the chocolate stars in the middle when they came out of the oven. They also helped eat some of the dough and chocolate:)88BBC5E0-6899-432E-A20F-60996B7FAAC2 1C3AE2BE-CD00-4051-A50D-7EAB4816E3FA D89ECA53-6CE0-4F5B-977E-45C579E8A736 AD41A62A-EC3D-4905-927B-1EC446DC311E 704586A3-F381-4309-8792-1A33B130A70E 3C0430D6-B217-4134-90D5-1287DFDACE3C 05E0D4A0-4F7C-431B-88F0-93A9834421C7 2DFAB964-60A0-41C4-B503-2D853B036149 8E6EFDFE-E496-4762-802C-65A4CDD8BDAD 1A4ECA52-9F2A-4D12-B70E-CD8B25595780

On Christmas Eve, Scarlett saw her very first movie theater movie! We saw Mary Poppins Returns and we both really enjoyed it. About 30 minutes in, Scarlett said she was ready to leave haha, but once Mary Poppins made her appearance she loved it.3EF3FAB8-3566-496B-AF35-114D6F637794 7C93029A-4FE3-4F26-9EA1-D076EAEB0FC6 8C2463A9-2F54-42CB-A8E5-67BB7B3EBB43 7971951E-D408-4381-929D-9F757099CFA0 92F638EB-4263-4EC5-BC56-6E091265E8DD D3DAE4F6-EF5E-4590-B403-CA83FE3894E5

On Christmas Eve night, we attended the Christmas service at The Crossing church with Grandma and Poppy. It was our first time there and I really enjoyed it! The kids did fairly well, although Scarlett had a lot of questions and August preferred to go run around in the lobby after his snack was all gone;)E7E24B79-2964-428C-9F38-7164426BA6D1 D72E1BF8-90C6-4CF9-BC94-F5D2F3F3452DACE9DB40-571D-4A68-B91D-B1B1D6ED2584 E6AE768C-A749-45D3-82F0-976C118675D3

After church, Grandma and Poppy came over for lasagna and after dinner Grandma read The Cajun Night Before Christmas to the kids—a tradition my siblings and I had as kids after we received the book from our family in Louisiana.8F2ACD51-BF87-4394-B6B0-4D9F4A62EA75 A5CFA385-EAAB-4425-AAE1-89C984A0489F B23AC4AE-8AEE-4C66-9844-6FFB4BD451A9

Grandma deemed Scarlett’s rug the wishing rug and if they ran around it and wished for what they wanted for Christmas it would come true:)9F369E9E-BE61-4B55-8457-8438926A8E3A 9875833E-8624-4792-B388-191C78CB5080

August woke up first Christmas morning—luckily he’s still too little to care about waiting for sissy to wake up to open presents.66481E06-FEF9-4F58-B9BA-6B6D18A2111B  853EBC62-1F7B-422D-AE2F-6F2CA8C7437D   1B5A5E66-5F22-4281-A828-3BD850965EBE
