Christmas is pure magic with these babies!
They both helped Mama make Christmas cookies on Christmas Eve-Eve. We made peanut blossoms, orange ricotta cookies, snowballs, and Dada’s mega double chocolate mint cookies.
The kiddos especially helped with the peanut blossoms! They helped roll the balls in sugar and put the chocolate stars in the middle when they came out of the oven. They also helped eat some of the dough and chocolate:)
On Christmas Eve, Scarlett saw her very first movie theater movie! We saw Mary Poppins Returns and we both really enjoyed it. About 30 minutes in, Scarlett said she was ready to leave haha, but once Mary Poppins made her appearance she loved it.
On Christmas Eve night, we attended the Christmas service at The Crossing church with Grandma and Poppy. It was our first time there and I really enjoyed it! The kids did fairly well, although Scarlett had a lot of questions and August preferred to go run around in the lobby after his snack was all gone;)
After church, Grandma and Poppy came over for lasagna and after dinner Grandma read The Cajun Night Before Christmas to the kids—a tradition my siblings and I had as kids after we received the book from our family in Louisiana.
Grandma deemed Scarlett’s rug the wishing rug and if they ran around it and wished for what they wanted for Christmas it would come true:)
Before bedtime we gathered our offerings for Santa and his reindeer.
Soon after the babies were asleep, Santa came!
August woke up first Christmas morning—luckily he’s still too little to care about waiting for sissy to wake up to open presents.
In years past Scarlett has always eaten breakfast before opening presents, but this year she dove straight into the presents!
Oops, Santa left a few drops.
Santa brought a trampoline for both kids, a camera and Belle doll for Scarlett, and a little tricycle for
Thank you Florida Grandma and Poppy for the name puzzle stool! August has been VERY into sissy’s lately and it was perfect timing for him to have his own.
Hey, a booger! My favorite gift yet!
Santa left a harmonica in each of their stockings—I think it may be a favorite:)
Christmas pancakes (I promise they weren’t burnt like they look in the picture haha). Thanks for the cookie cutters Grandma Lynn!
Trying out all their new stuff!
A picture of Dada in his matching pjs before he tried to change clothes—I made him at least keep the pants on lol.
August had one more gift he forgot (aka wasn’t interested) to open earlier.
Might as well just wear our new slippers to grandma and poppy’s house.
Santa visited grandma & poppy’s house, too!
What a Merry Christmas it was with these babes!
