August is nine months old!

Weighs: 20 lbs 3 oz (59th)

Measures: 28 inches (32nd)

Teeth: 1 peeking through on bottom with a second one on its way!

Loves:

Grabbing/clawing at faces
Sissy—loves to watch what she’s doing, laugh at her shenanigans, and loves when she plays with him
Clapping!
The play kitchen—loves opening all the doors and seeing what’s inside
Musical instruments
Watching Buddy
Bone broth
Having yelling conversations with sissy or mama/dada consisting of a lot of “ahhhhs!”
Sneezes—thinks “achoo” is pretty funny
Playing with his toys
Singing and dancing to music—especially Don’t You Just Know It & Louie Louie

Dislikes:

Getting nose suctioned
Being tired
Sore gummies
Getting dressed—especially coats/winter gear!
When you take something away from him that he wants

First tooth peeking through!
Pushes up to sitting
Army crawls quickly & long distances to get to what/where he wants
Clapping
Waving
Very curious about the world around him—always looking around to find where that sound/voice came from, crawling to get to something new he sees in order to explore it, etc
Imitates sounds and motions, and lives it when you copy him
Eating solids—eats a good amount now at each meal instead of refusing to open his mouth
Starting to say more sounds that resemble words—really working on his “b” sound lately and said “ball” a few times
Throwing things to the ground on purpose (spoons, toys, etc)

Eating: Nurses every 2-3 hours and eats 3 solid meals each day (although will sometimes shun one of those meals).

Sleep: Two naps during the day around 10:30am and 2:00pm—the first one lasting 30-60 minutes and the second 1.5-2 hours typically. Goes to sleep around 8:15pm and wakes up around 8:30am (typically waking around midnight for a “dream feed” and again around 4-5am to nurse. Will often wake again around 7 to nurse and then goes back to sleep for another hour or so.)
