Christmas 2017: Part 1

August and Scarlett had a wonderful holiday season! Here’s a recap of the pre-holiday festivities:

First up was a visit with Santa and both babies did great! Scarlett started to get a little wary of Santa at first, but this guy knows his stuff and asked her a few questions that warmed her up to him quickly:)

We got our Christmas tree a little later this year since we were in Florida until December 11th. We visited a good old-fashioned family-owned tree lot, Sullivan Farms, and it was like something out of a Christmas Story.

Bernard the Elf made his appearance the morning after we got our tree!

Over the next two days we gradually decorated the apartment and put the ornaments on the tree. Scarlett put the star on top!

Scarlett takes after Mama and likes to continue rearranging the ornaments as she sees fit;)E9C72080-BD59-4713-8904-D76300D9496D BEADAC5C-C3A7-4614-A4A4-5DEC20F09C28

We saw Santa again when we had breakfast with Santa at the Zoo! There were so many fun characters walking around saying hello to the kids while they ate breakfast, and then Santa made his grand entrance 🎅

It was a really nice day (around 60 degrees), so after taking our picture with Santa we headed over to see some animals!

Next up was our annual tradition to go see some of Santa’s reindeer. This year we saw Comet and Cupid at the Saint Charles Christmas Traditions.

On December 21st we went to the Garden Glow at Missouri Botanical Garden. It was the same day as we went last year, although this year it was more crowded most likely due to the mild temperature. It was still a great time!

The next night we saw some lights on a much smaller scale by visiting the St. Charles “holiday house” that we visited during Halloween.
