August is 5 weeks old today!
This week, August:
- Started “talking” (cooing, gurgling, etc)
- Smiles when you talk to him
- First time away from mama for a few hours–he doesn’t love the bottle yet but he did take it ok for Dada
- Doing a little better in the evenings: tummy drops, “the bounce”, tummy time, and pink noise help
- Baby acne on face, head, neck, and upper back/chest
- Lost a little more hair but not completely bald on top like Scarlett was
- Had his one month checkup! Gained 4 lbs and grew 1 inch–big boy!
- Nursing: Still every 2 hours on average during the day, and every 2-4 at night
- Sleep: Still sleeps most of the day but has longer periods of wakefulness now, lasting up to 2 hours or so
