At 15 months, Scarlett…

Weighs: 21 lbs 14 oz

Measures: 31.5 inches

Teeth: 8 (+ still working on some molars)

Words: mama, dada, dog, baby, bug, ball, yay, whoa, no, bye, hi, book, bow, duck, bee, eye, moon (moo), nana (banana), nigh-nigh (night-night), boog (booger), belba(belly button), moo (cow), baa (sheep), meow (cat), neigh (horse), says “ah-ah” for monkey (as in oh-oh ah-ah); Phrases: bye bye dada

Loves:

Being silly!
Books (current faves include: Elmo’s Big Lift-the-Flap Book, Where’s Spot, Your Baby’s First Word Will Be Dada (mostly likes the pictures), first words books, The Monster at the End of This Book, Shapes/Houses/Opposites books
Being outside
Being bounced
Eating–still eats most anything you put in front of her (favorites include blueberry muffins, yogurt, “bunny bites”, fish, sweet potato, cheese, blueberries, banana, watermelon)
Walks in the Ergo carrier
Being around people
Gymboree
Kissing/blowing raspberries on mama’s tummy and saying “baby” (which she did for the first time before mama found out she was pregnant)
Picking flowers and pulling the petals off one by one

Dislikes:

Being in the car for longer than 25 minutes
Being in one spot for too long
Shoes
Sitting still
When you don’t share what you’re eating with her
Stroller
When mama leaves

What’s new:

Walking!
Kissing & blowing raspberries on mama’s tummy and saying “baby”
Dancing to music
Standing up from the floor
Blowing kisses
Getting off the couch/bed on her own (with supervision, of course)
Crawling into mama’s lap and actually staying put for a minute
Trying to give other babies hugs & kisses

Other Activity:

Still nurses before bed, once early morning, and once upon waking
Goes to bed around 8:30-9pm and wakes up around 8:30-9am
Down to one nap, usually around 1:30-2:00pm, and typically sleeps between 2-3 hours
Eats 3 meals + 1-2 snacks each day
