I am 21 weeks old today!

Here’s what I was up to this week:

First taste of carrot! Not really—I just gummed it:) The coldness felt good on my sore gummies!

First piggyback ride! I wasn’t really sure what to think…

I am 20 weeks old today!

  
 Here is a comparison of me 10 weeks ago (half of my life!) and now:

Such a big girl:)

I had a great twentieth week! Here’s what I was up to:

Blowing bubbles is my newest trick:)

I went to Weingarten winery with mommy & daddy to celebrate Aunt Lindsey’s birthday–it was a beautiful day to be outside, and I did really good!

Uncle Max stopped by on his way to Chicago!

I was getting too big for my bunny seat, so we brought out the mamaroo again–I like it now! (for 15 minutes tops)

I took my first official nap in my crib! It took longer for me to settle down (there’s so much room in there!) than I actually slept, but the next day I did much better and slept for an hour and a half. I like sleeping on my side:)

I tried out my Magic Merlin sleepsack for the first time–Daddy ordered it awhile ago, but Mommy was resistant to put me in it. See below.

I spent a lot of time outside this week with mama–I hope the weather stays this nice forever!

I am 19 weeks old today!  

Here are some memories from my 19th week:

I had my 4-month checkup at the pediatrician and I am a healthy girl! 15 lbs. 11 oz., 25.3 inches (about the 75th percentile for both weight and height)

I got to meet my Aunt Janet who lives in San Diego, and my Grandma’s friend Sandy this week!

I had my first full day away from mommy while she subbed at Reed. Grandma and Grandpa came to babysit and Aunt Lindsey stopped by, too😊

I am 18 weeks old today!

This week I…

Turned 4 months old!

To celebrate, I wore my cute bunny outfit from Grandma Lynn

I rolled all over the place–including clear off my play mat (this picture causes mommy to simultaneously laugh and cringe)

Due to my adventures in rolling, we borrowed Grandma and Grandpa’s pack ‘n play 🙂

Mommy watched me on the monitor for the first time while I napped in my bassinet for 2.5 hours (I’m getting better at taking naps by myself:)

I only spent a little time outside this week–I tried to squirm out of my stroller when mommy tried to take me on a short walk (too hot for babies!)

Fell asleep with Sophie halfway to my mouth

Tried to up my cuteness factor

Was a bathtime bunny

Participated in shenanigans with daddy

Visited with Grandma and Grandpa

Was silly with daddy

Had a sleepy dinner with daddy while mommy was at class

Hooray for 18 wonderful weeks with this perfect baby girl!

Scarlett is 4 months old today!

At 4 Months, Scarlett:

Weighs: 15 lbs. 11 oz.

Measures: 25.3 inches

Loves:

• Rolling
• Laughing
• Cooing and squealing
• Putting her feet in her mouth while on her back
• Being on her playmat (although she keeps rolling right off of it now!)
• Bathtime
• Being held
• Being sung to
• Tummy kisses
• Looking around at everything
• Standing on her feet (with support of course)
• Naps on mama or dada
• Sophie the Giraffe to help her sore gummies

Dislikes:

• Being on tummy for too long (even though she can roll from tummy to back, she sometimes gets stuck:)
• Sore gummies
• Looking at the camera
• Naptime (unless sleeping on mama or dada)
• Being tired (which typically happens around 7:30pm)

What’s New:

• Rolling
• Teething
• Sucking on toes/feet while on back
• Awareness of Buddy
• Lifts head 90 degress while on tummy & can almost fully extend arms

Other Activity:

• Still nurses 7-9 times/day
• Goes to bed somewhere between 8:30-9:30pm
• Sleeps 5-7 hours before waking up to nurse then goes back to sleep for another 3-5 hours
• Takes 2-3 shorter naps during the day (20-60 min.) on average–longer if napping on mommy:)
• Can squirm her way out of her carseat and bunny seat–needs to be strapped in now at all times

I am 17 weeks old today!

This Week I…

• Rolled from back to tummy on 8/26/15!
• Now that I have several new tricks–rolling from tummy to back, back to tummy, onto my side, lifting my legs, and putting my feet in my mouth–I can’t stop showing them off!
• Am still dealing with sore gummies and therefore drooling/putting everything in my mouth
• Cooing, squealing, laughing, + random loud one-syllable yelling outbursts (for lack of a better description) a ton 

Here are some other things that happened this week:

Crawling up daddy & lifting my head to look at him–this is something I’ve really started doing this past week when being held

Testing out my new exersaucer–I’m still a bit too little for it, but I can tell it’s going to be super fun!
