I am thirteen weeks old today!
This week I…
- Got my first cold today:(
- Added some new sounds to my verbal repertoire: gurgling, squealing, and laughing (one day I grabbed mama’s face and just laughed and laughed:)
- Enjoy sucking my thumbie, two or three fingers at a time, and I’ve even tried both thumbs at once
- I’m becoming more and more aware of my surroundings–I will look at mama or dada from across the room and follow them with my eyes; I turn to look at who is talking more quickly and can switch my focus between mama and dada; I even started to notice that black and white dog–I look at him and wonder “Now, what on earth might that be?”
- Grasping things and holding onto them for longer–I held on to my bunny rattle when daddy picked me up yesterday
- Moving like crazy! I haven’t rolled over yet but I can scoot my body all the way around in a clockwise or counter-clockwise circle when on my mat
